For Manufacturers, Importers, Retailers, Applicants and Renewal

If you are interested to submit your product(s) for endorsement under the
Singapore Green Labelling Scheme (SGLS) please follow the below stated guidelines:

1st Application

1. Please make sure that your product(s) fits under one of the categories stated within the "Criterias and Categories" section of the GreenLabel.
   (If your product category is not listed or you would like to assist in the development of a new product category please contact the SGLS Secretariat)
2. Once you have sited your product category under the SGLS please submit a sample your product to an accredited laboratory in Singapore for testing under the specified Final Qualifying Criteria with the "Criterias and Category" section. (Not all Product Categories require testing)
   1. If your product has already received endorsement under one of our Global Eco-Labelling Network partners you may wish to use these test results submitted to gain your endorsement under our affiliate labeling schemes for the Singapore Green Label.
      (please contact the SGLS Secretariat for further calcifications if needed)
3. Once test results have been attained and All test results pass the testing requirement, please download the SGLS Application and submit it with:

1. A cover letter stating your intent to apply for the SGLS
2. A detailed description of your product, its content, manufacturing process and any other documentation the SGLS Secretariat requires
3. Original test results from accredited laboratory.
   (You may wish to request them to mail us a copy directly)
   
4. A fully completed and endorsed original SGLS Application along with an completed soft copy emailed to SGLS Secretariat.
   (Soft copy dose not require endorsement : incomplete forms will be rejected)

2nd and subsequent renewal applications

1. Please submit a letter declaring no change in the constitution of the product(s) along the previous User ID and a list of products under the User ID that you wish to renew
2. Download and complete the SGLS Application
3. Mail all both the letter of request for renewal and the original endorsed application form to SGLS Secretariat.
   (Submitting an additional soft copy via email will hasten the process of renewal)

Licensing
Upon approval of the application, the applicant will have to sign the User Agreement for the use of the GreenLabel. The applicant will have to comply with the terms and conditions of the User Agreement. The User Agreement is valid for a period of three (3) years.

Fees
Each product is listed in a specific category that starts with a number from the above listed categories listed above. This fees does not include testing of any products. Please refer to steps in 1st Application section above for a guide to apply for your endorsement.

Example: 001 = Stationery Paper

Fees for the first three (3) years are charged at $300.00 per model/product approved under each category for the Green Label Scheme.
Example: If you have 10 models/products under a category and different varies of the products fall under several categories you will be charged accordingly (1 product x 1 category = $300 ; 1 product x 3 categories = $900)

Renewals for each model/product after the initial three (3) year period of endorsement are charged at $200 per model/product for a additional three (3) year endorsement. (April '03)
